The TS-7400-V2 serves as a platform upgrade path for the TS-7400 that provides footprint drop-in and high application code portability that is less expensive, faster, and provides more features than the original. It is powered by the NXP i.MX286 with an Arm® ARM926EJ-S™ core that is clocked at 454 MHz. The TS-7400-V2 includes a microSD socket and brings out many interfaces via a 40 pin header including CAN, ADC, GPIO, SPI, I2C, I2S, and UARTs. Consuming as little as 0.6 W, it's a great balance of features, cost, and power consumption.
The TS-7400-V2 is a small SBC that is designed to provide extreme performance for applications that
demand high reliability, fast bootup/startup, and connectivity at low cost and low power, such as point-of-sale (PoS),
vending machines, data acquisition units, data recorder modules, etc. Additional TS-7400-V2 specifications include:
- 100% soldered-on components
- Fanless -40 to 85° C with CPU clocked at 454 MHz
- Board dimensions are 2.9" x 4.7"
- Reliable Data Storage with 2 GB SLC eMMC Flash (pSLC)
- Power consumption can be dynamically controlled via software and ranges from 0.6 to 1.2 W
The TS-7400-V2 ships with Linux kernel version 2.6.35 and Debian Wheezy preinstalled (Linux 3.14 and 4.9 kernels available, as well as newer Debian distributions and Buildroot support). Other software features include:
- Sleep mode requires around 9 mW of power, with the ability to wake up after an arbitrary timeout with a 1 s resolution
- Standby mode consumes 250 mW, and can wake in as little as 250 ms
