LOW POWER COMPUTER MODULE
The TS-4100 is an extremely low power, high performance System-on-Module powered by NXP i.MX 6UltraLite with the Arm® Cortex®-A7 core operating up to 696 MHz. Typical power usage is about 1 W, packed with up to 1 GB RAM, 4 GB eMMC flash, 32 bit programmable off-load engine, microSD with UHS support (up to 60 MB/s), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module with built-in antenna, and many industry standard interfaces. It targets applications with strict power requirements, yet need a high performance system with wireless connectivity, like industrial internet of things gateways, medical, automotive, industrial automation, smart energy, and many more.
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
The TS-4100 is embeddedTS's first SoM that can also be a standalone micro Single Board Computer. When powered from the on-board micro USB connector, the TS-4100 does not require a baseboard to operate. The system could be a processing node on a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth network, or with the optional daughter card expansion connector it could interact with other devices directly.
FPGA ZPU
The TS-4100 FPGA includes a ZPU core implementation. The ZPU allows for offloading CPU tasks as well as harder real-time on I/O interactions. The ZPU is an open-source, 32-bit, stack-based CPU architecture that offers a full GCC tool suite. Inside of the TS-4100 FPGA it is given 8 kBytes of BlockRAM and has full access to all FPGA I/O. Additionally, the CPU has shared access to the ZPU BlockRAM. This allows for a larger bi-directional communication channel between the ZPU and main CPU, and can be used to reprogram the ZPU on the fly for dynamic applications.
SHORT TIME TO MARKET WITH LONG TERM DEPLOYMENT
A productive out-of-the-box experience includes pre-installed Linux OS, development tools, and utilities for controlling all onboard interfaces such as DIO, UARTS, CAN bus, and more. The development kit makes sure you have all the necessary connections and cables to get off the ground quickly. The guaranteed 10+ year lifecycle ensures a long-term deployment in the field, free from expensive replacements that come from short, disposable lifecycles which are all too common.

SOFTWARE DETAILS
We've preloaded most everything you need to get your application up and running quickly, from utilities to read, write, and control the various interfaces to power management tools. Development can be done on the device itself using preloaded GNU development tools such as GCC and GDB. Furthermore, development can be done using familiar and easily installed interpreted languages such as Python, Java, C# (Mono), etc. In keeping with an open source vision, we have the source code, toolchains, and binaries freely available for download from the TS-4100 Files Repository and Github page.
By default, Debian Stretch is loaded which provides a massive repository of prebuilt applications and services and Debian provides a long history of focus on stability and support.

embeddedTS can provide you with a custom tailored version of our standard product starting at minimum order sizes of 100 units or more. Customized products can be based on various combinations of many of the standard product features.
